Death entered the home of C. E. Sanford on February 24, and with cold fingers touched the smiling lips of a little one and the heart was stilled. It seems so hard to give these little ones up, but when the Almighty has spoken, we must think it is for the best. Wallace Edward, aged 15 months, had been suffering for almost a week with pneumonia, but on Sunday he appeared so much better that the fear, which had been lying so heavily on the hearts of the parents was light and and hope was entertained that recovery would result. Late that evening a sudden turn for the worse was noted and physicians were summoned, but before they arrived death had claimed the little one. Funeral services were held at the home on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 10 o'clock, Rev. Ayrault assisted by Rev. Rolingson, officiating. The singing by the choir was beautiful. Floral tributes were many. The body was laid to rest in the cemetery at this place. The sympathy of a large circle of friends is extended the family.
