CHRISTIANA GAMBLE

Mrs. Christiana Gamble died at her home in Beatrice, Nebraska, and the body was brought to Cantril Saturday for burial.

The body was accompanied by the husband and two children, Sam of Fairbury Nebraska, and Mrs. Cora Quince, of Crete, Nebraska.

Christiana Gamble was born in Henry county Ind. March 19, 1842, and came to Iowa in 1862 and settled near Bonaparte, Van Buren county. In the year 1865 on October 7th she was united in marriage to Harvey Gamble there were born to them 5 boys and 2 girls.

She died on Feb. 16 at noon, being 68 years, 10 months, 27 days old. The body was brought to Cantril and funeral at the Christian church at 1 o'clock Feb. 12, sermon by Rev. Tennant using as a text Heb. 10:36. Burial was made in the Cantril cemetery.

NOTE: Obit states she died 16 Feb but has no year. Using birthdate and death age, calculates to 15 Feb 1911 being her date of death.
