SYLVANUS M. BROWN

Sylvanus M. Brown was born in Ohio on Oct. 12, 1847, and died at Council Bluffs, Iowa, Jan. 7, 1925.

He was married to Lina Beer of Keosauqua, Iowa, on Oct. 24, 1877. To this union four children were born: Mary D., who died in infancy; John M., William A. and Otto L., all residing in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The wife of the deceased died on July 19, 1919.

His vocation was farming, which he carried on at Keosauqua, Iowa, until the death of his wife, residing since then with the sons at Council Bluffs. He lived in Iowa his full life time, except about two years in the Dakotas. He was a member of Westminister, Presbyterian church of Council Bluffs, Iowa.
