OBITUARY OF MRS. EMMA CARRUTHERS

Mrs. Emma Martin Carruthers was born at Mount Sterling, Ill., Oct. 7, 1870, and died at 11 a. m. of July 22, 1916, age 45 years, 9 months and 15 days. She was united in marriage to Mr. Ed Carruthers Nov. 10, 1887. To this union were born eight girls, all of whom save one together with her husband, survive her, to mourn their loss, and her departure. Lena died after a brief illness, March 9, 1899, aged ten years. The living are, Mrs. C. K. Mercer, Mrs. Henry Schreckengost, Evelyn, Beatrice, Floy, Ethel, and Irma. She also leaves five grandchildren. The deceas- [remainder of obituary is missing]
