FRED W. LIBLIN
Fred William Liblin, son of the late Martin and Julia Lowry Liblin, was born on a farm southeast of Fairfield, Iowa, on June 8, 1881, and departed this life on July 28, 1941, at the age of 60 years, 1 month and 20 days.
His early life was spent with his parents in Jefferson county and about twenty-five years ago he was united in marriage with Mary Ann Gilbert of Kilbourne, Iowa, and they established their home in Iowa City where he has since lived.
For some twenty years he was bridge foreman of Johnson county.
His wife passed away just five month and four days ago, since which time he has been extremely lonely.
Surviving are two brothers and two sisters, Miss Mary, Frank and Ben Liblin of near Fairfield and Mrs. Jane King of Kahoka, Mo., also two nephews, two nieces, one grand nephew and a host of relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
Funeral services were held at the Kilbourne Methodist church on the afternoon of July 30, conducted by Ralph M. Krueger. Interment in Kilbourne cemetery.
