Caleb Miles Dow, only son of Bryant and Nina Dow was born near Stockport, Iowa, Sept. 3, 1901, and passed away April 3, 1936, at the age of 34 years and 7 months at the home of his parents in Keosauqua, Iowa. The first 27 years of his life were spent near Stockport. With the exception of one year in Chicago the remainder of his life was spent in Keosauqua in business with his mother. On Jan. 3, 1923, he was united in marriage with Grace Way, of Birmingham, who preceded him in death August 9, 1924. He attended Sunday school and church services at the Methodist church in Stockport as a young man and was a member of both the Masonic and Elks Lodges. He had been in very poor health since March 25, 1934 at which time he was in an automobile accident. At the end of such a short life he leaves to mourn: his father and mother, of Keosauqua; and his only sister, Dove Winslow, and his brother-in-law, Dr. E.J. Winslow, of Stockport, besides his many relatives and a multitude of friends and business associates.

Funeral services were held from the Stockport Methodist church Sunday afternoon, April 5th at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. M.E. Hayes of the Keosauqua Methodist church. Interment in the Spencer cemetery northeast of Stockport.

Pallbearers were: Dr. F.W. McIntosh, Earl Russell, Warren Rhynas, Glen Russell, Odgen Shelman and Spencer Morris.
