CUNNINGHAM, WILDMAN, MCDANIEL

Hamilton Cunningham, son Adinga and Elizabeth Cunningham was born in Randolph county, West Virginia, Jan. 27, 1854, and died at his home in Cantril, Iowa, Jan. 5, 1937, at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 9 days.

With his parents he came to Scotland county, Missouri in 1870. He was married to Lora Wildman in 1882.

He was the father of two sons, Lee and Ray of Cantril. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, two sons, two grandsons, Bobby and Clarence Ray. One sister, Mrs. E. P. McDaniel, of Warsaw, Ill.; three brothers, A. B. Cunningham of Rogers, Ark.; C. H. Cunningham of Warsaw, Ill.; and J. T. Cunningham of Memphis, Mo. Four sisters and one brother preceded him in death.

He was a kind, loving father and husband. He was always a public spirited man, holding office in the church and on the school board, and was secretary of the Cantril Cemetery Association for 25 years and also a mail carrier out of Cantril for 12 years.

Funeral services were conducted by his pastor, Elder A. M. Hadley, at the Christian church, Wednesday afternoon. Pall bearers were: F. E. Wildman, Paul rice, John Shanes, Cline Cunningham, Fleet Cunningham and Kenneth Cunningham. Singing was by Ben Casady, John Van Fleet, Tressa Price and Catherine Powell, with Geneva Jones at the piano. Burial was in the new Cantril cemetery.
