and died near Silvis, Ill., July 12, 1936. he was 22 years, 8 months and 15 days old at the time of his death.

Amos spent his early boyhood on a ranch with his parents in Wyoming. In September 1932 he came with his parents and brother to Farmington. He attended the Chugwater, Wyoming high school and entered Farmington high school as a Junior.

He was converted in a revival meeting conducted by Dr. Kendall at Chugwater when he was six years old. He attended the Snowy Range Epworth League Institute at his former home and transferred his membership to the Farmington M.E. church. He was sent to two sessions of the Pioneer Epworth League Institute held in Mt. Pleasant. He was kind and friendly and a very willing worker cooperating freely and gladly in the activities of the church. He has been very kind to the pastor and family.

Last Sunday, the day Mr. Grant drowned, he attended church in the morning at Silvis with his brother, Denzlow and wife. In the afternoon he sought relief from the extreme heat by going to Green river and swimming. He had spent some time in the water, came out and rested on the beach, returned to the water and sank before anyone could help him. His body was found one hour and fifteen minutes later. He had planned to attend church that evening but it was not to be so.
