MRS. W.E. DAVIS

Mrs. Laura Smith Davis died Friday at her home in Des Moines. The body was brought to Keosauqua for interment Monday, and was accompanied from Des Moines by her daughter, Lottie, and by Miss Irene Smith.

Mrs. Davis was a sister of the late George F. Smith and her girlhood home was in Morris, ILL. She was the wife of W.E. Davis, who for several years was in the mercantile business, also postmaster of Keosauqua. He passed away several years ago.

The Davis family moved from Keosauqua to Des Moines, making their home in Highland Park where Mr. Davis was custodian of a school building until his health failed.
