Hollis Lynn Cantril

Hollis Lynn Cantril, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ira Cantril of Bentonsport, Iowa, was born June 9, 1913 and died in the Ottumwa hospital on June 18, 1934, at the age of 21 years and 9 days.

Holli8s confessed his Savior and united with the Methodist church of Milton eight years ago. He was also a member of the same church school. As his life seemed to slip away his father informed him that he would not recover and asked if his faith in God sustained him and gave him a good hope of Heaven. He replied that he was ready to go and that grace divine sustained him.

He received his education in the Milton high school and for a while was an apprentice in the Milton bakery. His young life so filled with social fragrance was cut short by an accident which resulted in his death. His happy life won for him a place among the young people of his age and will be kindly remembered by the people of advanced years.

He leaves among us to follow on, his father and mother, one brother, Leland, one sister, Willa, and other relatives besides a large company of friends.

The funeral was held June 20 at the Methodist church in Milton conducted by the Rev. H. F. Gilbert of Milton, assisted by Rev. W. B. Ireland.
