Guy W. Goodrich

Guy Wells Goodrich, son of Joseph and L.L. Goodrich, was born in Birmingham, Nov. 7, 1862. He died at his home in Omaha, Nebraska, August 18, aged 75 years, 9 months and one day.

The family moved to Kansas, and in 1880 to Oregon, to Gilroy, Calif., later going to San Francisco, where he worked as a street car conductor. He then began work on the railroad, advancing to conductor. He was employed for 40 years and during that time he had but one accident.

He was a Mason, Odd Fellow, and at the time of his death belonged to other social orders.

Mr. Goodrich is survived by his widow, Sophia Goodrich, one daughter, Bertha Conley and one son, Dr. Guy Wells Goodrich (* see footnote), of Omaha. One grand daughter, Layberta Conley of Omaha. There are three sisters, Mary Anson, Douds, Alice Siple, Point Arena, California, Georgie Mills, Morganhill, California, two brothers, Egbert Goodrich, San Francisco, California, Jesse Austin Goodrich, of Morganhill, California.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Omaha, in charge of the Masons and Odd Fellows. Burial at an Omaha cemetery with many flowers.
