F.H. Ellingsworth

F.H. Ellingsworth was born in Henry county, Ill., July 3, 1862, and departed this life at his home near Kilbourne, Nov. 8, 1936, aged 74 years, 4 months and 5 days. He had been in failing health since he suffered a painful accident two years ago.

Mr. Ellingsworth was united in marriage with Frances Orpha Pumphrey, Dec. 29, 1887. To this union four children were born, Mrs. J.W. Boesch, Milton; Mrs. Ira Walter of Lockridge; Arthur Ellingsworth of Corydon; and Franklin at home. The wife died Jan. 6, 1919. The family had lived for many years in Corydon, Iowa.

June 19, 1929, he married Mrs. Myrtle Yost of Libertyville, who with the four children, eight grand children and one step daughter, Loretta Yost, survived his passing. There are also two brothers and two sisters, Bert and Robert Ellingsworth, Mrs. Edith Bailey and Mrs. Cora Houston, all residing in the state of Washington.

Mr. Ellingsworth was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church for forty years, and was faithful in attendance when his health permitted.

Funeral services were held at the Kilbourne M.E. church Tuesday of Libertyville. The body was taken to Corydon Wednesday, where services were held. Burial was in the Corydon cemetery.
