Dorothy Bell Miller

Dorothy Bell Peck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Peck, was born at Elliott, Iowa January 23, 1910 and departed this life after a brief illness of only a few days at her home near Bonaparte Tuesday afternoon, December 31, 1935. She would have reached the age of twenty-six years in three more weeks.

She was baptized in the Mississippi river at Dallas City, Ill., at the age of fourteen years and united with the Church of God, Holiness. She moved with her parents later to a farm near Bonaparte and attended high school here one year.

She was united in marriage on Easter Sunday, April 5, 1931 with Dayton Miller, of Bonaparte. One son, Milo Russell Miller, was born to this union. Besides her husband and son, Mrs. Miller is survived by her parents and grandmother; a sister, Ruby; and brother, Russell, of Mt. Pleasant; and one sister, Mrs. Frances Noske, of Bonaparte.

Funeral services were held at the Bonaparte Baptist church on Thursday afternoon January 2nd, with Rev. Williams in charge. Burial was in White cemetery northeast of Bonaparte.
