Lydia Fulton
Mrs. Lydia Fulton was born at Muscatine, June 18, 1851, and departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jennie Montgomery in Bonaparte, March 31, 1985, aged 83 years, 9 months and 13 days.
She was a daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth Endsley. When about 18 years of age she was united in marriage to Mr. Ang Weldon. To this union was born one daughter, Jennie. The husband and father died, and after a number of years of widowhood, she married Mr. T.P. Fulton and made her home in Leon, Iowa. Failing health finally made it necessary for her to give up housekeeping, and she came about 12 years ago, to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Montgomery, in Bonaparte, where she has lived since.
Besides the daughter, she leaves to mourn two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also three brothers and two sisters, Reuben Endsley, of Dakota, Andrew Jackson Endsley, of St. Joseph, Mo., Edwin Endsley of Beatrice, Neb., Mrs. Phoebe Arthur of Harrison, Kansas, and Mrs. Mary Fulton of Leon, Iowa.
A short funeral service was held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home in Bonaparte, with Rev. Kessler of the Sharon Presbyterian church in charge. Interment was made at Decatur City, Iowa, the same day.
