Mrs. Harry Heath

Olivia Maud, daughter of H.M. and Elizabeth Carothers, was born near Anson, Mo., Dec. 15, 1888, and passed away at her home in Cantril, Iowa, Feb. 20, 1935, aged 46 years, 2 months and 5 days.

On March 28, 1911, she was united in marriage with harry Heath, of Peaksville, Mo., to which union four children were born, Hazel, now Mrs. Hardman, of Memphis, Mo.; Veva, Lela and Mannie at home. Mrs. Heath was a devoted wife and mother.

In a letter she wrote to her family while in Iowa State hospital in Iowa City where she was a patient under treatment, she expressed her faith in Christ, saying she had never as yet united with the church, however, she had always tried to live a Christian life and was thankful for the full and happy life she had experienced. She desired to continue with her family as long as possible, yet was ready to answer her call to depart this life. Olivia was a patient sufferer and has gone to her reward, leaving a cherished memory which will be lovingly regarded by all loved ones and friends.

She leaves a heart broken husband, three daughters and a little son, son-in-law, Carol Hardman, an aged mother, a sister, Mrs. Leslie Fouds, of Keokuk; a brother, Frank Carothers, of Anson and other relatives and a host of friends to mourn her departure.

At 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, a brief funeral service was held at the house, conducted by the Rev. F.M. James, of Cantril, and then at the Anson church, four miles south of Farmington, in Mo. Burial was in the Anson cemetery by the side of the church of her childhood.
