Mrs. Elizabeth Shott
Elizabeth, daughter of Nelson and Armada Glotfelty, was born April 17, 1871 at Birmingham, Iowa, and passed away on May 31, 1936 at her home in Birmingham.
On Dec. 8, 1896 she was united in marriage to Wm. R. Shott and to this union were born six sons: Ralph of Birmingham; George of Keosauqua; John of Washington, D.C.; Frank of Butte, Montana; William, Jr., of Columbus, Mont.; and Max, deceased in August 1935.
She spent her entire life in Birmingham and was a member of the Methodist church and Ladies Aid Society.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, five sons, one sister, Mrs. Minta Morrell of Birmingham; and one brother, Charles Glotfelty of Keosauqua.
The funeral services were at the home at 10 a.m. Wednesday with a short sermon by Rev. H.C. Druse. Two old favorite hymns by Mr. and Mrs. Glen Williams were sung, and burial at Maple Hill cemetery.
