Anna B. Wix

Anna Belle Wix, daughter of Thomas and Viola Phillips Wix was born August 19, 1898 at Pittsburg, Iowa and departed this life at the University hospital in Iowa City Saturday morning, June 13, aged 37 years, 9 months and 24 days.

She lived with her parents and brothers near Pittsburg until at the age of seven the family moved to Keosauqua where she has since resided. She attended the Keosauqua schools and grew to womanhood in that community.

Anna was a constant and loyal companion of her mother, who with her two brothers, Harley and Herbert Wix, are left to mourn the passing of a faithful daughter and lovingly thoughtful sister. One aunt, Mrs. Violet Williams, a twin sister of her mother, and many cousins also survive. Her father preceded her in death June 21, 1928.

She was not a member of any church but she believed in the Saviour and many times expressed to her mother and friends that death had no fears for her and she was ready to go.

Funeral services were held at the Wix home in Keosauqua Monday afternoon, June 15 at 2 o'clock in charge of the Rev. M.E. Hayes. Interment was in Pittsburg cemetery.
