Frank J. Beggs

Frank Johnson Beggs, youngest son of Ellen and William Beggs, was born August 14, 1866, at High Point, Iowa, and departed this life at his home near Grand River, January 31, 1935, at the age of 68 years and six months.

At the age of seven he moved with his parents to Van Buren Co., Iowa, where he grew to manhood. In 1896 he was united in marriage to Lena Fellows. To this union was born one child, halcyon. In 1901 he moved to Ringgold county, Iowa, where he resided most of the time until his death.

Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, one daughter, Mrs. G.H. Northrup, of Perry, Iowa, one sister, Mrs. Eva Steves, of Payne, Ohio, and several nieces and nephews.

He united with the Methodist church at Kellerton and later transferred his membership to the church at Perry, Iowa.

His friends were many. He was a good neighbor and honest in all his dealings.

Everything was done that loving hands could do for his comfort, but of no avail.

He passed away Thursday evening at 9:44 o'clock. Funeral services were held in the Methodist church Sunday afternoon and the remains were laid to rest in the Maple Row cemetery.
