Keith Riley Glenn
Keith Riley Glenn, son of Marshal and Amanda Glenn, was born July 10, 1913, in Van Buren county, Iowa. He died Feb. 2, at the age of 21 years, at the St. Joseph hospital in Ottumwa. His mother passed away when he was but two years of age, after which time he was cared for by relatives. At the age of six he was taken into the home of Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Morris. After the death of his brother, Feb. 14, 1928, he came to make his home with Mrs. Ida Hemmings, later Mrs. Orr Early. Mr. and Mrs. Early gave him a comfortable and happy home until the time of his death.
When he was twelve years of age, he united with the Baptist church of Hillsboro. He graduated from the Hillsboro high school with the class of 1931. On July 26, 1934 he was united in marriage to Clara Donald, at Cedar Rapids.
He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, Clara, his father, Marshal Glenn, an aunt Mrs. Neah Duncan of Hillsboro, Mr. Earl and other relatives as well as many friends.
Funeral services were conducted at the Christian church in Hillsboro, Feb. 3, buy the Rev. Allison, of Fairfield. Music was by a group of high school boys, Billy Sullivan, Jack Davidson, Richard McCabe, and Ralph Smutz.
Pall bearers were, Billy Early, Walter Dinsmore, Vinton Hoaglin, David Endersby, Eldredge Hoaglin and Dale Wilson.
Interment was made at the Sharon cemetery.
