Rites at Donnellson for Edward C. Lynn

Lee County Superintendent 32 Years Was Uncle of Keosauqua and Bonaparte Residents

Edward C. Lynn of Donnellson, widely known educator in southeastern Iowa, died at the Graham hospital in Keokuk on Wednesday morning, October 29, following a brief illness. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church in Donnellson on Friday, October 31 with burial at the Burge cemetery in New London.

At the time of his death, Mr. Lynn was serving for the second time as worshipful master of the Masonic lodge at Donnellson. He had been in school work in Iowa for over forty years and was a past president of the Iowa State Teachers association. Mr. Lynn served as superintendent of schools in Lee county for 32 years. He was a leader in Boy Scout work and wore the medal of the highest award in the Scout organization.

Mr. Lynn leaves his wife and three sons, all of whom are in school work in Iowa and South Dakota. He was the uncle of Mrs. Loren J. Peel of Keosauqua and Superintendent Ralph L. Tomlinson of Bonaparte.
