W. H. BICKEL

William H. Bickel, 76, of 1124 Hammond avenue, died at the St Joseph hospital at 4:20 today.

The son of Jacob and Minnie Moore Bickel, he was born in Van Buren county November 11, 1880. He had been a resident of Ottumwa the last five years. He was a member of the Presbyterian church at Milton, and was married to Cora Darby on January 9, 1907 in Davis county.

Besides his wife he is survive by two daughters, Mrs. Orville Thomas and Mrs. Maurice Rump both of Ottumwa; three sons, Marvin Bickel, Albia, Oramel Bickel, Mt Sterling, and Clyde Bickel, Compton, Calif. 13 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren, and a sister Mrs. Joe Allen of Pulaski.

He was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter and three sisters.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Johnson funeral chapel. Burial in the Pulaski cemetery.
