MRS. GEORGE A BOWMAN

Florence Belle Todd, daughter of William H. and Julia Ann Todd, was born April 1, 1852, in the old Todd home in Clark county, Mo. and passed away at her home in Mt. Sterling March 26, 1933, aged 80 years, 11 months and 26 days.

She was the youngest of a family of twelve children, all of whom have preceded her in death except one sister, Mrs. Sue Davis of Mt. Sterling.

In June 1878 she was united in marriage with George A. Bowman and the greater part of her life has been spent in this community, where she was known and loved by all as a kind friend and good neighbor.

When a young girl she united with the Christian church of Mt. Sterling and for a number of years was a beloved teacher in the S.S.

She had been an invalid for the last five years but was always cheerful and uncomplaining. She leaves to mourn her aged companion who has so tenderly cared for her, her aged sister, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the home on Wednesday afternoon, March 29, in charge of Rev. Shaw of Cantril, after which she was laid to rest in Harness cemetery.
