MILTON--Marvin Norris Bickel, 92, formerly of Milton died Jan. 8, 2014, In Springfield, Mo.

He was born o Sept. 22, 1921, in Milton, to William and Cora Bickel.

Marvin was united in marriage to Catherine Nelson on Feb. 2, 1947, and to this union three children were born. Before retiring, Marvin enjoyed farming and had a dump truck that he used to haul rock. Marvin was particularly fond of John Deere tractors. He also enjoyed working on Chevrolet trucks.

Marvin is survived by one daughter, Lucinda Ray; two sons, Gene Bickel and Marilyn, and Ed Bickel and Laura, all of Springfield, Mo.; six grandchildren, Tammy, Terra, Tonya, Tyler, Timothy and Tanner; and one great-grandson, Trey.

Marvin was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Catherine.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sunnyside Cemetery in Milton.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Walnut Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, Springfield, MO.
