Anna Elizabeth “Liz” Cole Miller Laumeyer, 87, of Ottumwa died at 9:35 P.M. Sunday March 30, 2014 at Hospice House, Ottumwa. She was born March 24, 1927 at Keosauqua to Grover and Sarah Rhodes Cole and grew up in Van Buren County. She married Leo Miller. After his death she married Lawrence Laumeyer who also preceded her in death.

Liz operated Truck Stop Café on Hwy. 63 South of Ottumwa and worked many years as a home health care giver. She attended an Ottumwa Pentecostal Church.

Surviving are two sons, Harold Miller of Ottumwa and Jack Miller of Washington, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, five sisters, Myrtledell Hamre of Agency, Lucille Miller in Tennessee, Arlene Palmer and Weltha Rojas of Ottumwa and Norma Smith of Rapid City, IL, and two brothers, Clarence Cole of Rapid City, IL and Gene Cole of Silvis, IL.

In addition to her husbands she was preceded in death by her parents, four sons, Allen, Donald, Chuck and Melvin Miller, two daughters, Betty Cosgrove and Patty Miller, two brothers, Ira and Ray Cole and special friend, Charles Johnson.

Funeral services will be at 11 A.M. Thursday April 3, 2014 at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, Rev. Jerry Caughron officiating. Visitation will open at 3 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with family present 5-7 P.M. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery west of Keosauqua. Memorials to the family to assist with final expenses may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 209 West Maple Ave., Ottumwa, IA 52501
