MRS. FRED WELLER

Sarah Jane Weller, daughter of George and Nan Green, was born in Clark County, Mo., near Acasto, Dec. 21, 1876, and spent most of her life there.

She attended school at Dunkin, Mo. Sarah Jane Green was united in marriage to Fred Weller March 4, 1900, by Webster Bunier of Acasto, Mo.

After an illness of about two years' duration she passed away at the home of her mother in Farmington, Sept. 18, 1937, at the age of 60 years, 8 months and 27 days.

Mrs. Weller was one of four children born to her parents. Two brothers, Charles Green of Farmington and James Green of Sigourney, and one sister, Mrs. Julia Pitney, of Farmington, as well as her aged mother, Mrs. Nan Green of Farmington, remain to feel keenly the loss of her. Her father departed this life at Farmington Feb. 19, 1917.

Mrs. Weller was a woman who in extending courtesy and kindness to her many neighbors and friends will be greatly missed by them. The above was attested by the way in which her neighbors and friends came to comfort and care for her in her last illness. Mrs. Weller was subjected to great pain and much suffering, but was an heroic sufferer.

Mrs. Weller was converted in her late home in Missouri about one year and a half ago, as a result of hearing a radio sermon. She said, "I knelt down and prayed and a great change took place and I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior." At the request of Mrs. Weller Rev. Harvey E. Butler baptized her in the Christian faith Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1937, and then received her in full membership in the Farmington Methodist Episcopal church, in the presence of a number of neighbors and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 19, 1937, at 2 p. m., in the Acasto church and [were] conducted by the Rev. Harvey E. Butler, and at the request of Mrs. Weller, Mrs. Butler assisted in the service.
