ANNA PARISH SEARIGHT

Anna Parish, daughter of H. M. and Sarah F. Parish, was born in Lee county, Iowa, on Sept. 14, seventy-seven years ago, and passed away at her home in Cantril on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1937.

She was united in marriage with George Searight and they made their home for years on a farm in Scotland county, Mo., moving to Cantril when they retired from the farm. To this union was born one daughter, now Mrs. L. V. Daggs of Cantril.

She was united with the Baptist church during her youth and continued faithful to her churchly vows, always exemplifying the teaching of the book of books.

Of a family of ten children she is now survived by but one member of the family, a brother, Roswell Parish of Mt. Sterling, besides the brother whose death came so soon after her own.

She is also survived by her husband, the daughter, Mrs. Grace Daggs, above mentioned, and by three grandchildren, Elma, Helen and Robert Daggs. Elma is in college at Iowa City, Helen teaches in the high school at Thompson, Iowa, and Robert attends Cantril high school.

The funeral service was conducted at her late home on Friday afternoon, Rev. Eastburn of the Cantril Methodist church officiating. Burial was in Mount Moriah cemetery.

One sister, Frances, wife of Delbert J. Fitzgerald, passed away on Dec. 26, 1931.
