OBITUARY
Mr. Peter Christian Larson was born at Tarrnmark, Denmark, on August 28, 1858, and died at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, January 31, 1929. His age was 70 years, 5 months and 2 days.
Mr. Larson came to the United States in 1886 and first settled at Maquoketa, Iowa, where he resided for three years. In the spring of 1884 he moved to Hyde county, South Dakota, and lived in that state until 1891.
On December 21, 1885, Mr. Larson was united in marriage to Miss Catharine Elizabeth Tobin, to which union was born one child, Elmer Tobin, who died in infancy.
In 1891 Mr. and Mrs. Larson moved to Iowa and settled near Cantril, Mr. Larson soon became a member of the Home Prairie M. E. church and afterward tansferred his membership to the M. E. church of Cantril when he and his wife retired from the farm in 1915.
Besides his wife he leaves to mourn two brothers, Jorgen and Jens Larson, both of Minnesota. Also several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Larson's life spoke for itself, in that he was a devoted husband and a brotherly neighbor. His faith was laid in the life that finds its beginning, its existence, and its end in God. "He knew whom he had believed and was pursuaded [sic] that He was able to keep that which he had committed unto him against that day."
