FORMER RESIDENT OF MILTON COMMUNITY SUCCUMBS IN MASON CITY

Thomas M. Brown died at the I.O.O.F. Home at Mason City, Iowa, Saturday, September 2th, at the advanced age of 89 years and three months. He was born in the state of Missouri, moving to near Lebanon with his parents when a youth. There he grew to manhood and later moved to a farm just west of Milton.

He was married to Julia Van Fleet who preceded him in death and to this union were born eight children, four sons and four daughters, two of the daughters, Mrs. Charles Hall and Mrs. Harve Moland preceding him in death. The living chldren are Mrs. W. E. Atkins, of Milton, Mrs. Will Walters, of Dakota, Charles and William, of Milton, David of Stockport and Edward, of Burlington. He was later married to Mrs. Maily of Cantril, who also preceded him in death. Burial was at Mason City.
