Mrs. Veda Brown

Funeral services for Mrs. Veda F. Brown, 82, Stockport, were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21 at the Weston Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

The Rev. James M. Ford officiated. Burial was in the Spencer Cemetery, northeast of Stockport.

Mrs. Brown died at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 18 at the Van Buren Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua. She had been in failing health for a number of years and seriously ill two weeks.

Veda F. Brown was the daughter of Emery and Elizabeth Hall Crenshaw. She was married to Edward H. Brown, who died in 1946.

Mrs. Brown is survived by one son, Manning E. Brown, Huntley, Ill.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; also two brothers, Ivan Crenshaw of Douds and Harold Crenshaw of Stockport.

She was preceded in death by three sons and two brothers.
