Dorothy Elliott

Dorothy Elliott, daughter of William Arthur and Mabel DeHart Craig, was born March 27, 1917 in Keosauqua and died early Thursday, August 11, 1988 at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua at the age of 71.

Dorothy lived her life in the Keosauqua community and had been employed a number of years at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital.

She married Hollis Elliott August 5, 1938, at Birmingham.

Surviving are her husband, two sons, Dale A. Craig and his wife, Barbara of Keosauqua and Glenn William Elliott and his wife, Monteen, of Jonesboro, Georgia and five grandchildren, Debra Roberts and Joe Elliott, both of Bradenton, Florida, Mark Elliott in the Armed Forces, Ben Elliott Jonesboro, Georgia and Joy Ellen Craig, Keosauqua. Also surviving are a brother, Harvey Craig and a sister, Mary Bart, both of Meridian, Calif., other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 13, 1988 at 11 a.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua,with Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Interment was in Fellows Cemetery, Keosauqua. A memorial was established for the American Cancer Society.
