Peacock killed at Burlington last Saturday.
Hazen Peacock, who run a Rent-a-Ford-garage at Burlington was shot and killed by policeman, Joe Feeloy, early last Saturday morning. Peacock was armed with a gun, and half a dozen policemen tried for nearly three hours to get him out of his apartment over the garage or get his gun away from him. Tear bombs were finally used, and as he came down stairs was shot by the policeman, after he had been warned to throw up his hands, to which he did not respond.
He was the son of E.W. Peacock and wife of Fairfield, and besides his parents is survived by his wife and one brother, Emmett. The funeral service was held Monday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Keosauqua, in charge of the Legion Post of that place.
