Mrs. Ida a. Monroe was born at Vernon, Ia.(Van Buren Co) March 18, 1867 and died at Cottonwood Falls, Ks. November 2, 1918; age 51 years 7 months and 15 days.
She was married to George W. Monroe in Keosauqua, Ia. Oct. 13, 1884. To this union eight children were born all of whom survive her. Three brothers and one sister are also left to mourn her departure.
The husband and childrren will all miss her most for she lived and labored for her own home and was an ideal wife and mother.
Her life was given without a thought of self to her children and her home. Such mothers are the kind that rule the world and make possible a better day for humanity.
She joined the Methodist Church when but a girl and was a faithful member all her life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
