SADIE L. VORNKAHL

Again the grim reaper of death has entered our midst and removed from our community Mrs. Sadie L. Vornkahl.

The deceased, eldest child and daughter of George and Malinda Brewster was born near Acasto, Clark County, Missouri, February 27, 1868, and passed to her eternal reward October 20, 1946.

She was married to William Harmon Vornkahl October 21, 1888. To this union four children were born, one son, Elmer Vornkahl and three daughters, Mrs. Mary Von Seggen, Ada and Effie Vornkahl. They established their home on a farm close to each of their parents and resided there until October, 1936 when they moved to Farmington, Iowa.

She is survived by her children; five grand children, Marvin, Merrill and Milburn Vornkahl, Milo and Wilma Von Segggen; one great grandchild, Karen Vornkahl; one brother, W.R. Brewster of Lone Tree, Iowa; and a sister, Mrs. Inez Kennedy, Kahoka, Mo.

Those preceding her in death are her parents, two brothers, and her husband, who passed away April 17, 1943.

She was converted and sanctified in a revival meeting held at Acasto, Mo., and was a charter member of the Nazarene Church at the time of her death. She was a faithful attendant to the church and loved to fellowship with God's people.

The deceased succumbed to a lingering illness of ten months duration, during which she was patient and cheerful. We sorrow today, but not without hope, for in Jesus we have hope of our meeting again. We sadly miss her, but gladly say, not our will, but God's will be done.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Farming-
