SARAH PONTE

Sarah Elizabeth Flesher was born December 20, 1874 in Athens, Missouri, and died Thursday, Feb. 26, 1948, at Keosauqua, Iowa.

On March 4, 1890, she was united in marriage to Emile L. Ponte who preceded her in death fifteen years ago.

She leaves to mourn her passing, three children, Mrs. Arthur Stevens, Des Moines, Iowa, Mrs. Rex Kelley, Farmington, Iowa, and Edward L. Ponte of Farmington; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild; two brothers, Clevie Flesher of Decator, Illinois, Joe Glassburn of Kahoka, Missouri; two sisters, Minnie Taylor of Emily, Sout Dakota, Flora Keister, Oregon City, Oregon, besides a host of friends.

She was converted and loved God with all her heart and lived life to prove it.

She was the last charter member of the Church of Nazarene her in Farmington, Iowa, which was organized in 1909.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Farmington Church of the Nazarene, conducted by the Rev. Forrest Backus.
