THELMA O. MCINTOSH

Thelma Oleva McIntosh, daughter of Harry Joseph and Viola Mae Gares, was born September 15, 1915 in Clark County, Missouri, and departed this life May 16, 1949 at her home in Farmington, Iowa, at the age of 33 years, 7 months and 25 days. Her sudden death came as a shock to the whole community.

She was united in marriage to Therman McIntosh January 16, 1935. to this union were born two children, Donna Mae and Ronald Lee. She was a member of the Acasto Union Chapel Church, and by word and action sought to exemplify the virtues of Christian religion in daily life. She was dearly loved by her family and friends and highly respected by all who knew her.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her loving husband, Therman McIntosh, and children, Donna Mae and Robert Lee, her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Joes Gares of Farmington, Iowa; and one sister, Mrs. Lois Poole of Albia, Iowa; two grandmothers, Mrs. Cynthia Coffin and Mrs. Dora Gares of Farmington; other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, May 18 at 2 p.m. from the Farmington Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Martin Dawson of Knoxville, Iowa, assisted by Rev. John Ellis of Farmington. Interment in Acasto Cemetery.
