DARRELL McCONAUGHEY

Mrs. Chas. Kuttruff of Bonaparte received a message Sunday evening with the information of the death of her cousin, Darrell McConaughey, 66, at Los Angeles, Calif., with funeral services at Los Angeles on Wednesday.

An only child of Thomas and Ada Packer McConaughey he was born at Rome, Iowa and moved to Bonaparte with his parents when he was five years of age. He was graduated from Bonaparte high school.

For several years he was a railway employe(sic), later becoming an embalmer, which profession he followed through the remainder of his life, first in Chicago and then in Los Angeles. In June of this year he made a short visit with Bonaparte relatives and friends, also with his aunt, Mrs. Nell Wilmeth of Salem, Iowa.

He was united in marriage with Edith Jackson of Evanston, Ill., who preceded him in death. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Stackpole of Los Angeles with whom he made his home during recent years. His health had been failing for several months.
