HANNAH MCCARTY

Hannah Nelson McCarty of Farmington, Iowa passed away at her home, Tuesday morning, Sept. 21st. She had but recently celebrated her 80th birthday with a group of friends and relatives. She was born August 31st, 1871, the daughter of Ellen and August Moline, and had spent the greater part of her life in Lee and Van Buren Counties. She had, however, traveled a lot and spent several years in the states of Washington, Colorado and Minnesota.

Mrs. Nelson had been in failing health since spring and on Sept. 11th suffered a stroke which led to her death. She was loved and respected by all that knew her and took an active part in the Nazarene Church of Farmington up to the time of her death. She is surv9ived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William A. Nelson of Farmington; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Anderson of Croton and Mrs. Gus Larson of Keokuk, one brother, Mr. Perry Moline of near Croton and a host of nephews and nieces, mostly from Lee County.
