JESSIE L. LIVINGSTON
Jessie L. Livingstone was born April 23, 1864 in Ontario, Canada, and passed away in Farmington, Iowa, November 9, 1945, at the age of 81 years. Her parents moved to Port Hope, Michigan, when she was a child, and a few years later came with the family to Onida, South Dakota.
She received her education in the public schools, in Madison Normal, and in Huron Presbyterian college of South Dakota. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and a faithful Christian worker who profoundly believed in, and cooperated with the work of her church for the betterment of humanity. She was engaged in educational work, as teacher and county superintendent thru many years of her active life.
She was the last of a family of eight, and being alone came to Farmington to make her home with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Emma Livingstone, and Mrs. Ada Woods.
She leaves to mourn her loss two nieces, Ruth Livingstone Smith of Cleveland, Ohio, Myrtle M. Spoerlein, of Kerman, California; one brother-in-law, B. B. Schultz, of Kerman, California; and one nephew, Virgil L. Livingstone, of Washington, D. C.
Funeral services were held in the home of Mrs. Livingstone and Mrs. Woods Sunday afternoon at 2:00. Interment in the cemetery at Anson, Missouri.
