Marvin Longanecker

Marvin R. Longanecker, son of son of Horace and Margaret Morris Longanecker, was born Nov. 17, 1885, and passed away at his farm home near Farmington, October 24, 1958, at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 7 days.

He was married to Bessielou Jones, Feb. 10, 1920. To this union were born one son and one daughter.

He is survived by his devoted wife, a son Charles Francis and wife Evangeline, three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Hila O. Sherwood, Kahoka, Mo., Mrs. Genevieve Longanecker, Waterloo; Mrs. Wanda Longanecker, Los Angeles, Calif.; two grandchildren, Dwayne and Beverly Jo.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Olive Ora, in infancy; parents, two brothers in childhood and Harry and Ray who grew to manhood, and two sisters at an early age.

He worked as an electrician for many years and later became a farmer in north Clark county, Mo. where he lived until his death.

He will be missed greatly by his family and friends who knew him.

Funeral services were held from the Gutting Funeral Home, Monday, October 27, at 2:00 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Richard S. Holden. Burial was in Kahoka cemetery.
