Mrs. Margaret Morris was born in Lafayette, Indiana, June 7, 1859. She came west with her father while a small girl and the family settled near Wayland, Mo., at the age of 24 she was united in marriage to Hora Longnecker, April 28, 1874, and to this union were born seven children, four having died in infancy, three surviving her are: Marvin, of Farmington, Iowa, Harry, of Centerville, Iowa, and Raymond of Spokane, Wash. Some 40 years ago Mr. and Mrs. Longnecker moved to Kahoka, Mo. and Mr. Longnecker entered the business of gunsmith in which business he continued until the time of his death some twelve years ago. Mrs. Longnecker retained her residence in this city until some three years ago, when she suffered a severe stroke of paralysis, after which she was removed to her son, Harry at Centerville, Iowa. Her suffering became so acute she was removed to the St. Joseph hospital at Keokuk, and for the last fifteen months she was a constant sufered(sic) until death deliberated her soul and set it free. On Sunday evening at 8 p.m. on February 5, 1922, age of demise, 71 years, 9 months and 7 days. She united with the Baptist church in her early womanhood and retined(sic) her membership until death. Besides her three sons she is survived by one stepsister, Mrs. Susan Biggs of Woodland, Calif., three sisters, Mrs. Mary Bibbs, Spokane, Wash., Mrs. Corder Parnett and Mrs. Dorothy Dimond of Keokuk, Iowa; two brothers, R. Morris of the city and Mr. C. Morris of Wayland, Mo.

Funeral service was conducted from the home of Frank Sherwood, Tuesday, Feb, 7, 1922. Enterment(sic) in Kahoka cemetery
