MRS. MERLE JINKENS

Mrs. Merle Loama Jinkens, 47, a resident of Kahoka, died at 2 o’clock, Friday afternoon in a hospital in Excelsior Springs, Mo.

A daughter of William and Nina Toops McCarty she was born on March 10, 1898, and spent most of her life in Missouri. She was an active member of the Kahoka Christian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband, N. C. Jinkens; her father, William McCarty; one son, Owen Jinkens; one daughter, Mrs. Eva DeWitt of Kahoka; and one brother, Raymond McCarty of Farmington, Iowa.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at two o’clock from the Kahoka Christian Church with burial in Kahoka cemetery.
