WILLIAM L. HUFFORD

William Loren Hufford was born at Charleston, Iowa, March 27, 1865, and passed away at a nursing home in Fort Madison, Iowa, February 24, 1949, after an illness of eight months. His age at the time of passing was 83 years, 11 months and 5 days.

On April 16, 1890, Mr. Hufford was united in marriage to Miss Effie Lewis. Unto this union were born 4 children ---- 3 daughters, Mrs. Grace Persinger of Wever, Iowa, Mrs. Ruth Riches of Blockwell, Okla., and Mrs. Dorothy Bruggeman, deceased; and one son, Mr. Ray Hufford of Des Moines, Iowa.

Surviving besides his wife, two daughters and one son are: four sisters, Mrs. Anna Gray of Farmington, Mrs. Olive Todd of ?lton, Okla., Mrs. Rilla Seth of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Maude Slater of Arizona; two brothers, Flint Hufford of New Orleans and Frank Hufford of Farmington.

Preceding him in death besides his daughter, Dorothy Bruggeman, were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hufford; two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Murphy and Castilla Hufford; and one brother, Mr. Charles Hufford.

Services were held in the First Baptist Church of Farmington, Iowa, at 2 p.m. Monday with ________cut off__________.
