BIRDIE M. HARTRICK

Birdie Melvina Hartrick, daughter of Charles and Sarah Melissa Sherod was born on a farm in Clark county, Missouri, February 17, 1886 and passed and August 26, 1948 at the age of 62 years, 5 months and 9 days.

She was united in marriage to Edward W. Hartrick February 15, 1911, and spent the remainder of her life in Farmington except for five years in Hedrick.

Birdie had been a member of the Methodist Church since childhood. She had been active as an agent for the Troy Laundry and Cleaners in recent years.

Those who survive her are her aged mother, Mrs. Sarah Sherod of Farmington, a sister, Bessie Van Ausdall of Keokuk, a brother, Fred W. of Omaha, and several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her father, a sister and two brothers.

Birdie will be remembered by her many friends as possessed of a resolute will, unflagging energy and steadfast determination.

Funeral services were held from the Methodist Church Sunday, August 29, at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. John McCallum officiating. Interment in Farmington Cemetery.
