GARES, VANCE, GREEN, WEAVER, KAYLOR, BEATTY

Mrs. Dora Gares

Mrs. Dora Gares, 91, life resident of this vicinity, died Saturday morning at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Elwood Vance.

She was born January 1, 1865 in Clark County, Mo., one of 11 children, the daughter of Charles and Hulda Green. She married John William Gares March 3, 1885, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1919. A son, Clymer, and a daughter, Mrs. Olethea Weaver, six sisters and three brothers, also preceded her.

She is survived by five sons: Joe of Farmington; Glen, Bonaparte; George, Mt. Sterling; Darrell, Keokuk; and Ray of Lubbock, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Mattie Vance and Mrs. Lawrence Kaylor, and one sister, Mrs. Lynn Beatty, all of Farmington; 18 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Methodist Church of Chambersburg, Mo.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Anson Community Church, with the Rev. Virgil Skinner, of Kahoka Methodist Church, officiating, assisted by Rev. L. L. LaFrentz. Interment was made in Anson cemetery.
