Theo. F. Seeley, who for some months past had been in failing health and had gone to Phoenix, Arizona, hoping thereby to get relief, was brought to his home in Ft. Madison arriving last Friday. Evidently he had given up all hopes of recovery and by the aid of his brother and attorneys began to make arrangements for closing up his extensive business matters and on Wednesday, March 1st sat up in bed and placed his signature to a great number of documents of a business nature thus closing up his earthly accounts preparatory to the final change and at ten o’clock the same evening passed away, aged 42 years, 3 months and 24 days. He leaves a wife and four children besides many other near relatives and friends to mourn his death. The remains were taken to La Crew Friday morning, March 3rd from thence to the Sharon church were the services were held at 11 o’clock, conducted by Dr. Geo. D. Stewart, of Ft. Madison, and the remains laid to rest in the Sharon cemetery. – Farmington Herald.
