Mrs. Eda Harlan

Mrs. Eda Harland, 79, died unexpectedly at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.B. Wheatley in Stockport.

She was born in Van Buren county January 13, 1866, the daughter of Phillip and Ann Johnston and spent most of her life in and around Stockport. She was married to Abslon Miller, who preceded her in death, and later married Sam Harlan, also deceased. One daughter, Mamie Miller, and one son, Kenneth Harlan, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Harlan leaves two daughters Mrs. Effie Gaulle of Peoria and Mrs. Wheatley; one son, Stephen Harlan of California; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, a twin brother, Edward Johnston of Plain View, Ark., and a sister, Mrs. Jessie Tull of Waterloo.

Out of town relatives attending the funeral services for Mrs. Eda Harlan last Friday afternoon were: the Al Daubendick family of Marion, Ind., Mrs. Harry Carter and Mrs. Effie Gall of Ottawa, Ill., Grant Silver of Belle Plaine, Will Silver and wife of Waterloo, Mr. and Mrs. Berlin Steinburg of Stronghurst, Ill., Walker Johnston of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Johnston and daughter Jean of Fairfield, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Johnston of Libertyville, Ernest Johnston and wife and Jim Bower and wife of Glasgow, Harley Pope and wife of Hedrick, Mr. and Mrs. Donaron Frazier of Birmingham and Mr. and Mrs. S.P. Harlan and Harriet of Los Angeles, Calif.
