WILLIAM (sic) D. RENEKER SERVICES AT DOUDS

DOUDS---Funeral services for Wilson Dallas Reneker, 89, were held at the Pedrick Funeral Home on Friday, July 23, at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. J. C. Austin had charge of the services and special music was given by the Rev. and Mrs. Bruce Myers.

Burial was in the Zion Lutheran cemetery. Pallbearers included Rilla Pool, Earl Hootman, Elmer Parrott, Raymond Parrott, Mat Lyden and Fred Gilbert.

Wilson Dallas Reneker, third son of Mary and Daniel Reneker, was born in Van Buren county near Douds, Iowa, Sept. 6, 1858. On July 21, 1948, at the age of 89 years, 10 months and 15 days, he departed this life at his home adjoining the farm on which he was born.

He was united in marriage on September 22, 1887, with Margaret E. Nickels and they would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary this fall.

To this marriage were born three sons who preceded him in death: George Floyd, John Hyson, who gave his life for his country in World War I and Emery Ray. One sister and two brothers also preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife, one brother, Dr. G. W. Reneker of Falls City, Nebr., numerous relatives and a host of friends.
