Lifelong Resident Dies At Douds Farm

Services Sunday For George W. Morrow; Survived by Three Daughters, 1 Son.

Funeral services for George W. Morrow, 87, of Douds where held Sunday, October 21, at the Douds church in charge of the Rev. Hodges. Music was by Mark Doud, Jay Doud, Forrest Hanshaw, Ray Finney, and Mrs. Forrest Hanshaw as pianist. Pallbearers were his grandsons. Burial was in the Zion Lutheran cemetery.

He died Wednesday noon at his farm home near Douds. He had been in failing health for two years and seriously ill, the past four months.

Mr. Morrow had lived his entire life on a farm near Douds. He was married to Radellia (Della) Sampson of Osceola who preceded him in death as did also a 13 month old son, Clinton.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Jay Parsons, Mrs. Argus Rambo both of Fairfield and Mrs. Charles Myers of Douds, the latter a practical nurse who has been caring for him during his illness; and one son George in California.

Mr. Morrow lived his entire life on a farm near Douds. He was married to Radellia Samson of Osceola, who preceded him in death, as did also one son, Clinton. He is survived by the following children Mrs. Argus Rambo and Mrs. Jay Parsons of Fairfield, Mrs. J.T. Hissem of Ottumwa, Mrs. Dewey Harryman of Burlington, Mrs. Claude McKenzie of Davenport, Mrs. Earl Hootman and Mrs. Charles Myers of Douds, Emmett Morrow of Wever, Ray Morrow of Des Moines, George Morrow of California and Lester Morrow of Douds.

Burial was in the Zion Lutheran cemetery.
