Samuel V. Catcott Funeral Held Sunday

Final rites for Samuel V. Catcott, 64, were held Sunday at the Kilbourne Methodist church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. J.C. Austin in charge. Music was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. C.P. Barker with Mrs. D.C. Sherod as pianist.

Samuel Valentine Catcott, son of William and Margaret Catcott, was born on the farm on which he died, March 6, 1882. In 1909 he married Miss Meris Stagers at Lick Creek township.

Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by one son, Harold Catcott of Birmingham; two sisters, Mrs. George Taylor of Kilbourne and Mrs. James Tilton of Wisconsin; and one grandchild, Julia Hope Catcott.

Although he had been in poor health. Mr. Catcott was able to perform duties on the farm and had never been confined to his bed.

Burial was in the Kilbourne cemetery. Pallbearers were Gordon Gilbert, Lee Piper, Claude Musser, Hugh Newman, Wallace Plowman, Peter Oosthoek.
