Joseph Harryman Dies in Hospital

Douds Resident, 40, Is Survived by Wife, Daughter, 4 Brothers and 4 Sisters.

Joseph M. Harryman of Douds died at the Ottumwa hospital in Ottumwa Thursday noon. He had been a patient six days and had undergone an operation for appendicitis.

Mr. Harryman was 40 years old and was born and reared in the Douds community. He was superintendent of the Sunday school at Leando.

Surviving are his wife, Emma; a daughter, Patricia; four brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services were conducted at the Leando church at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon by the Rev. E.K. Parrott. Singers at the final rites were Mrs. Mabel Finney, Mrs. Mabel Daniels, Eli Heckart and Mark Doud, with Mrs. Lizzie Pollock as pianist.

The bearers were Morris Finnep(?), Raymond Finney, Stanley Gire, Frank Parker, Forrest Hanshaw and Doyle Stang. Burial was at the Leando cemetery.
